Retries & replay

Retries

Each delivery is attempted up to 3 times with exponential backoff:

Attempt	Delay before retry
1	immediate
2	~1 minute
3	~5 minutes

A delivery that exhausts its attempts is marked failed. Deliveries time out after 10 seconds — return a 2xx quickly and process work asynchronously.

An endpoint that has been deleted or disabled fails immediately.

Caution

Return 2xx as soon as you have verified and queued the event. Slow handlers cause retries, and retries are not deduplicated by Bizzle — dedupe on X-Webhook-Id.

Manual replay

Re-deliver any logged event:

bizzle replay <delivery-id>

Replay creates a new delivery with a fresh event id and a replayed_from field pointing at the original. Find ids in GET /v1/webhook-deliveries.
